The exhibition will comprise the students’ final projects—artworks that integrate or draw inspiration from digital or analog materials from the Pratt Institute Archives.

Alyse (she/hers) is an artist, archivist, data visualist, memory mapper, and food scholar. Her academic research examines embodied, emotional, and cultural experiences of data and archival information, particularly through the acts of cooking and eating. She stands by the idea that food is political and seeks to use critical archival storytelling to uncover personal and community histories through food. This May, she will earn an MSLIS from Pratt Institute with an Advanced Certificate in Spatial Analysis and Design.

Anna Leuning
Anna is currently wrapping up her MSLIS program at Pratt Institute's School of Information. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Conflict Resolution at Portland State University. She is currently the Circulation and User Experience Librarian at Teachers College, Columbia University and the User Services Fellow at Brooklyn Public Library's Center for Brooklyn History. Prior to these roles Anna worked as a circulation technician at Portland State University Library, a page at New York Public Library's Periodicals Division, and a digital collections intern at the American Museum of Natural History's research library.

Charlie "Chayyim” Shaw is a mixed-media artist and archivist-in-training, currently working towards an MSLIS with an Advanced Certificate in Archives. Charlie Chayyim grounds his practice in lens-based work, drag performance, and archival research. His research interests include digital imaging, digital preservation and curation, and critical archival theory, particularly in the context of historical materials related to trans identity and drag performance.

Declan Sokolska (he/they) is a library and information professional working in New York City. He is currently the head librarian of the Cosmopolitan Club, a 100 year old private library on the Upper East Side. The collection specializes in both historical and contemporary women’s writings including first editions of club members such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Willa Cather, and Marian Anderson.
Sokolska has been working in the library and archives field for almost a decade and graduated from Pratt Institute’s library science master’s program with an Archives advanced certificate in May 2024. Their work focuses on human-centered services and accessibility surrounding cultural preservation.

Originally from coastal Virginia, he lives now in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
