This panel will focus on the work from Pratt MSLIS students over the last two semesters, coming together in conversation to discuss their developments, challenges, outcomes, and recommendations  in preserving, restoring, and providing access to digitized archives from the Lesbian Herstory Archives. Projects undertaken in the fall semester include the video restoration of a film strip, which was a popular media for educational content before the widespread use of video in schools. Other work include restoring radio programs from the 1970s, including programs from the Feminist Radio Network and Radio Free Women. The presentation will include a discussion of the media restoration, metadata creation, curatorial activities, and more. Before breaking for a Q&A, there will be a brief clip shown from the newly restored educational film strip Straight Talk About Lesbians, produced by Elizabeth Diamond, and digitized by Trale Trevis.
