This talk will describe digital scholarship librarians’ use of digital pedagogy, specifically using multimodal methods, and ways they have. been and could be implemented.
As the university advances into the future and digital technology becomes more prevalent, librarians must be prepared to employ digital pedagogy in their instruction. This presentation considers the definition of digital pedagogy and examples of how it has been used recently. It also explores multimodal pedagogy as a method within digital pedagogy and how the speaker, Heather V. Hill, has implemented this technique in her work at her internship at the New York City College of Technology. The presentation concludes with a consideration of how to move forward with these methods in an academic institution.
