What if we stopped thinking of user tags as cataloging tools and started thinking of them as tools to sort and curate content for users? This paper covers how different folksonomy (user tags) based systems can be integrated into the public library to move towards Library 2.0. Through programs like Pinterest and Delicious the library can show how it is involved in the community online not just in a physical building. User tags can help patrons discover new books through linking themes and content in books.
