When I joined the Linked Jazz team in January 2014, we were investigating what other digital cultural heritage material, aside from oral history transcripts, we could use to continue to uncover relationships between jazz musicians. To this end, I worked on creating linked data from historical photo metadata and, more recently, performance history data from Carnegie Hall and online jazz discographies.
I gave presentations on some of this material at the 2014 Association for Recorded Sound Collections conference in Chapel Hill, NC, and at the 2015 Code4Lib conference in Portland, OR.
