I am currently a MSLIS candidate at Pratt Institute. I completed my Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and Gender Studies at SUNY Purchase. I have a professional background working in the field of gender-based violence as an educator and case manager, with specialized experience working with LGBTQIA youth. I am interested in critical librarianship, digital humanities, and geographic information systems. My studies are centered around information sharing as social justice and the use of data collection for social movements. Outside of the library, I am a fiber artist and sewing instructor. I am interested in studying textile collections and lending libraries for unconventional materials. I am passionate about the role of libraries as a community space and hub for skill sharing, and maker communities that utilize old and new technologies to share sustainable alternatives to mass consumption. I currently work as the Collections Manager at the Lakewood Historical Museum in New Jersey.
