My practicum project centered on expanding Rhizome’s software emulation framework by building and configuring a Mac OS 9.2.1 emulation environment using the open-source emulator software, QEMU, to support the preservation of digital and net art created prior to 2001. The poster I created details a brief history of Mac OS, emulation as a digital preservation strategy, and the process I experienced learning to create and use emulators.
