SafeWave redefines transit apps by focusing on pedestrian safety for the hearing impaired, new transplants and commuters. Through ethnographic research, user interviews and diary studies, I analyzed the insights and tailored the solution to address challenges like the unclear transit systems, lack of signage, enhancing safety and independence thus answering the question, how might we help ensure that the deaf/hard-of-hearing population have a safe and empowering pedestrian experience?
