This project illustrates how it is possible to catalog historical context around artworks. By establishing linked open data connections within the Omeka S platform I
illustrate how a selection of artists transformed industrial and commercial materials to connect with the divine on their personal terms as means for spiritual revelation and transcendence at the peak of industrial capitalism.
