This presentation will describe my work as the Linked Open Data for Museums fellow at the Museum of Modern Art Archives. This work included modeling MoMA’s exhibition history data, doing research on APIs, discussing controlled vocabularies and ontologies, and formatting data with OpenRefine for an exploratory Linked Data model.
Kate Nadel is an artist, writer, and technologist interested in working with data in the museum and cultural heritage sector. She is working towards an M.S. in Museums and Digital Culture, and was the Linked Open Data for Museums fellow at the Museum of Modern Art. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Art History and Philosophy.
