Digital Dust is a proposed interactive website that reveals which cultural regions and artistic genres receive online attention in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection and which are digitally invisible. The site opens as a particle cloud visualization: each floating point represents an artwork, grouped by cultural regions. Clicking a cluster opens a dashboard showing that region’s visibility score, genre breakdown, and engagement data. The central question: which regions get seen online, and which are left in the dust?
