Franklin Furnace: Centering Ephemera in the Archive

Founded in 1976, Franklin Furnace is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to preserving avant-garde art forms. Soon to be publicly available, Franklin Furnace’s Vertical Files are a large collection of the “behind the scenes” information — much of which is typically neglected by archives — digitized to contextualize their artists’ book collection.
