Kristen is an archivist with five years of experience archiving contemporary art and architecture in New York City. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science and a Masters in Art History at Pratt Institute.
Accessibility of information, the value of architecture as cultural history, and the intersections between architecture and art guide her research and work.
When she's not studying or working, Kristen likes to play music with her friends and hang out with her cat Ziggy.
The difficulty of archiving architectural records stems from their wide variation in content, users, and application. The broad range of insight they can provide is needed by a varied audience, thus it is important to discuss methods of archival standardization to better preserve and provide this exponentially growing resource.
