A dyed-in-the-wool Mainer, I've spent my time at Pratt developing a broad set of skills that will serve me well in a small town library setting. I've also interned at the SUNY Maritime College library, worked as a GA in Pratt Brooklyn Library's Technical Service Department, served as Treasurer of SILSSA for the 2014-2015 school year, and worked with the Open Access Network on a variety of projects.
Introduction to scholarly publishing situation and OAN methods
This project centered on the creation of a linked-data friendly JSON-LD schema for storage and retrieval of cemetery records. I used python scripts to query a crowd-sourced database (BillionGraves.com), normalize the data and ingest it in the JSON-LD schema.
