Librarian, educator, quilter, and an amateur graphic novelist /film maker, I am a native of New York City. To me, being an information specialist in the 21st century means taking advantage of the tools that are rapidly developing for online research, information visualization, and communication. An undergraduate double major in African & African American Studies and English, I enjoy post-colonial literature, post-apocalyptic stories, science fiction, comic books, quilting, music, and young adult literature.
This data quilt, an information visualization, is the second in a series of textile objects that archive an ongoing digital humanities research project/blog: Runaway Quilt Project.
