Take 1 Pound & qr. of grated Bread as much Sugar one Ounce of Cinnamon, half an Ounce of Nutmeg, 1 of Cloves, a qr of an Ounce of Ginger, 1 Ounce of Red Le Saunders[?] or of Senchenele[?], half a Pint of Brandy & as much Ale, half a Pd of Almonds. Take your Sugar, Spices & Liquor put ym in all together in a Skillet and give it a boyl, the Rest of the bread & the Almonds put it into a Panshan[?] & work it all together into a Past & make into Brints[?]. 

Translation

Take 1 1/4 pound of grated bread, as much sugar, one ounce of cinnamon, half an ounce of nutmeg, 1 of cloves, a quarter of an ounce of ginger, 1 ounce of red sandalwood or of [?], half a pint of brandy & as much ale, half a pound of almonds. Take your sugar, spices & liquor, put them in all together in a skillet and give it a boil. The rest of the bread & the almonds put it into a panshan[?] & work it all together into a paste & make into [?].
