The number of startups has continued to grow over the years but only a few succeed, as a reported 90% of startups fail. With such a high failure rate, I was curious as to what types of startups investors were funding and if there were any trends among these investments. I obtained a spreadsheet of startup investment data via Crunchbase with the goal of analyzing startups by the amount raised to see where investors were putting their money.
