The course combines lecture, lab, and review. By the end of the course, students are able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>critically discuss information visualizations in light of current research and practice<\/li><li>make reasonable design choices in the context of various tasks, communications goals, and constraints of data and technology<\/li><li>transform data into meaningful and effective visualizations using current tools<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The course is required for students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pratt.edu\/academics\/information\/degrees\/data-analytics-and-visualization-ms\/\">MS in Data Analytics &amp; Visualization<\/a> program and elective for other students in the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course is taught by Associate Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/chrisalensula.org\">Chris Alen Sula<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INFO 658 Information Visualization is a graduate-level introduction to visualization offered in the School of Information at Pratt Institute.
