The Selected Topics in Information & Human Rights<\/a> resource guide is a LibGuide that focuses on human rights as they relate to information and the information professions. Multiple key themes of interest to information professionals are addressed in the guide through resources, case studies, and links to finding further information sources.<\/p>\n

Three thematic areas are covered: Information Access<\/strong><\/em> as “the right to seek, receive and impart information,” Digital Rights,<\/strong><\/em> including digital privacy rights and digital communication rights, and Sites of Memory<\/strong><\/em>, as spaces and processes that provide social-historical information through museums, memorials, and multimedia. <\/p>\n\n\n

The guide was created collaboratively by all twelve students in the spring 2023 course INFO619 – Information and Human Rights as part of broader research into these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
