It\u00a0doesn\u2019t erase the importance of these\u00a0backgrounds, but suggests that it&#8217;s just one aspect of a complex character: it defiantly asserts that everyone has the right to be considered normal.<\/p>\n<p>While contemporary teen media has made some strides in this field, the fantasy genre remains\u00a0dominated by straight white characters.
