They&#8217;re your NO.1 hype person, they sidestep hard questions and make sure you come back in an hour. The Council wants something different. It wants you to leave with something to think about.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Here&#8217;s the reality: we&#8217;re already turning to AI for the big things. As of late 2025, 70% of ChatGPT usage is non-work related. People are talking to machines about relationships, fears, and futures. But our research found a massive gap: users don&#8217;t actually want a life coach or a magic 8-ball. They don&#8217;t want a machine to solve their problem. They want AI to hold up tilted mirrors, to show them their situation from a perspective they couldn&#8217;t have reached alone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">We discovered what we call the Neutrality Paradox: users value AI because it lacks human bias, and it&#8217;s a safe and objective space. But they also find that neutrality emotionally hollow, it feels generic because it lacks lived experience. We realized that comfort doesn&#8217;t always lead to clarity. Real reflection happens when the AI actually calls you out on your own nonsense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">So instead of a helpful assistant, we built a system where you meet your problems through the eyes of character-driven AI. Imagine talking to Plato, Socrates, Confucius, Rumi. The Council is an AI-powered reflective companion where users consult philosophers to explore different perspectives on their dilemmas \u2014 one voice or many.
