Description:
This project was undertaken in my third semester, with the collaboration of two other classmates. We were tasked with creating a Google Studios dashboard which tracked key performance metrics for the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya’s official website, in order to recommend changes that might improve user experience and increase online traffic, presenting those findings and tools to our clients, Ana Ponce Bueso and Ariadna Blanc.

My Role:
In working with my teammates, we all helped to choose and modify the appropriate dashboard functions in order to properly assess the strengths and weaknesses of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya’s website. Analyzing the data, we met regularly to discuss our findings and create an informative evaluation report with practical recommendations. My duties for the presentation included content creation and editing, as well as communicating with the client to set up convenient trans-Atlantic Zoom sessions.
Methods:
Our team was afforded a great deal of class time with which to work as a group and develop our approach to the evaluation. Our instructor for the course, Assistant Professor Elena Villaespesa, PhD, provided guidance and advice when needed while we built out our custom Google Studios dashboard, and was a great facilitator for communications with the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya’s staff.
Rationale:
This project relied a great deal on successful client engagement over relevant ethical, technical, and practical issues, requiring a strong professional presence from all involved. For this reason, I believe my work as part of this talented team demonstrates well the Professionalism Student Learning Outcome.
